2011-11-18scsi: update list of commandsPaolo Bonzini1-1/+9
Add more commands and their names, and remove SEEK(6) which is obsolete. Instead, use SET_CAPACITY which is still in SSC. Tested-by: Thomas Schmitt <scdbackup@gmx.net> Signed-off-by: Paolo Bonzini <pbonzini@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: Kevin Wolf <kwolf@redhat.com>
2011-10-28scsi-disk: add stubs for more MMC commandsPaolo Bonzini1-0/+3
This patch adds a few stub implementations for MMC commands to scsi-disk, to be filled in later in the series. It also adds to scsi-defs.h constants for commands implemented by ide/atapi.c, when missing. Signed-off-by: Paolo Bonzini <pbonzini@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: Kevin Wolf <kwolf@redhat.com>
2011-10-28atapi: move GESN definitions to scsi-defs.hPaolo Bonzini1-0/+21
As a complement to the previous patch, move definitions for GET EVENT STATUS NOTIFICATION from the two functions to scsi-defs.h. The NCR_* constants are just bit values corresponding to the ENC_* values, with no offsets even, so keep just one copy. Signed-off-by: Paolo Bonzini <pbonzini@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: Kevin Wolf <kwolf@redhat.com>
2011-10-28atapi/scsi: unify definitions for MMCPaolo Bonzini1-0/+66
The definitions in ide/internal.h are duplicates, since ATAPI commands actually come from SCSI. Use the ones in scsi-defs.h and move the missing ones there. Two exceptions: - MODE_PAGE_WRITE_PARMS conflicts with the "flexible disk geometry" page in scsi-disk.c. It is unused, so pick the latter. - GPCMD_* is left in ide/internal.h, at least for now. 2011-09-06scsi: refine constants for READ CAPACITY 16Paolo Bonzini1-1/+7
Rename SERVICE_ACTION_IN to SERVICE_ACTION_IN_16 to distinguish from the 12-byte CDB variant, and add a constant for the subcommand. Signed-off-by: Paolo Bonzini <pbonzini@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: Kevin Wolf <kwolf@redhat.com>
2011-08-12scsi: add support for unit attention conditionsPaolo Bonzini1-0/+1
Unit attention conditions override any sense data the device already has. Their signaling and clearing is handled entirely by the SCSIBus code, and they are completely transparent to the SCSIDevices. Signed-off-by: Paolo Bonzini <pbonzini@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: Anthony Liguori <aliguori@us.ibm.com>
2011-08-12scsi: move handling of REPORT LUNS and invalid LUNs to common codePaolo Bonzini1-0/+3
Signed-off-by: Paolo Bonzini <pbonzini@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: Anthony Liguori <aliguori@us.ibm.com>
2011-08-01scsi-disk: Remove 'drive_kind'Hannes Reinecke1-1/+5
Instead of using its own definitions scsi-disk should be using the device type of the parent device. Signed-off-by: Hannes Reinecke <hare@suse.de> Signed-off-by: Kevin Wolf <kwolf@redhat.com>
2011-08-01scsi: Sanitize command definitionsHannes Reinecke1-21/+33
Sanitize SCSI command definitions. Add _10 suffix to READ_CAPACITY, WRITE_VERIFY, VERIFY, READ_LONG, WRITE_LONG, and WRITE_SAME. Add new command definitions for LOCATE_10, UNMAP, VARLENGTH_CDB, WRITE_FILEMARKS_16, EXTENDED_COPY, ATA_PASSTHROUGH, ACCESS_CONTROL_IN, ACCESS_CONTROL_OUT, COMPARE_AND_WRITE, VERIFY_16, SYNCHRONIZE_CACHE_16, LOCATE_16, ERASE_16, WRITE_LONG_16, LOAD_UNLOAD, VERIFY_12. Remove invalid definition of WRITE_LONG_2. Signed-off-by: Hannes Reinecke <hare@suse.de> Signed-off-by: Kevin Wolf <kwolf@redhat.com>
2011-08-01scsi: Remove REZERO_UNIT emulationHannes Reinecke1-1/+0
REZERO_UNIT command is obsolete. Remove support for it. Signed-off-by: Hannes Reinecke <hare@suse.de> Signed-off-by: Kevin Wolf <kwolf@redhat.com>
2011-08-01scsi: Remove references to SET_WINDOWHannes Reinecke1-1/+0
SET_WINDOW command is vendor-specific only. So we shouldn't try to emulate it. Signed-off-by: Hannes Reinecke <hare@suse.de> Signed-off-by: Kevin Wolf <kwolf@redhat.com>
2010-12-17scsi-disk: support WRITE SAME (16) with unmap bitChristoph Hellwig1-0/+1
Support discards via the WRITE SAME command with the unmap bit set, and tell the initiator about the support for it via the block limit and the new thin provisioning EVPD pages. Also fix the comment which incorrectly describedthe block limits EVPD page. Signed-off-by: Christoph Hellwig <hch@lst.de> Signed-off-by: Kevin Wolf <kwolf@redhat.com>
2010-11-25scsi: Return SAM status codesHannes Reinecke1-9/+11
Traditionally, the linux stack is using SCSI status codes which are shifted by one as compared to those defined in SAM. A SCSI emulation should naturally return the SAM defined codes, not the linux ones. So to avoid any confusion this patch modifies the existing definitions to match those found in SAM and removes any (now obsolete) byte-shift from the returned status codes. Signed-off-by: Hannes Reinecke <hare@suse.de> Acked-by: Christoph Hellwig <hch@lst.de> Signed-off-by: Kevin Wolf <kwolf@redhat.com>
2010-06-22scsi-bus: Add MAINTENANCE_IN and MAINTENANCE_OUT SCSIRequest xfer and mode ↵Nicholas Bellinger1-0/+2
assignments This patch updates hw/scsi-bus.c to add MAINTENANCE_IN and MAINTENANCE_OUT case in scsi_req_length() for TYPE_ROM with MMC commands. It also adds the MAINTENANCE_OUT case in scsi_req_xfer_mode() to set SCSI_XFER_TO_DEV for outgoing write data. Signed-off-by: Nicholas A. Bellinger <nab@linux-iscsi.org> Acked-by: Gerd Hoffmann <kraxel@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: Kevin Wolf <kwolf@redhat.com>

2009-12-03scsi: add read/write 16 commands.Gerd Hoffmann1-0/+3
Add READ_16 + friends to scsi-defs.h, scsi_command_name() and the request parsing helper functions. Use them in scsi-disk.c too. Signed-off-by: Gerd Hoffmann <kraxel@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: Anthony Liguori <aliguori@us.ibm.com>
2009-12-03scsi-disk: restruct emulation: REPORT_LUNSGerd Hoffmann1-0/+1

2009-12-03scsi: add scsi-defs.hGerd Hoffmann1-0/+156
Largely based on <scsi/scsi.h> from linux. Added into the tree so we can use the defines everywhere, not just in scsi-generic.c (which is linux-specific). Signed-off-by: Gerd Hoffmann <kraxel@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: Anthony Liguori <aliguori@us.ibm.com>
