2019-03-29Write configuration correctly from vty (alert notifications)Keith1-2/+2
The default is [yes] alert-notifications, therefore write "no alert-notifications" in the case that this has been set, in order to preserve configuration after write is called from vty. Change-Id: I4b0363fa34dd9ac0a221844974e4ebf7465b56f4
2019-02-28Don't deliver alert notifications to an ESME thatKeith3-5/+10
is not yet bound. We create a new ESME in smsc->esme_list on establishment of a TCP connection, yet we do not know the system id or anything else, until the ESME identifies and authenticates. So do not send alert notifications until we know the bind status (and system_id) Change-Id: I0e5d55d3fb6ac46d253902df2fe304e1b0fc8bbf
2019-01-22fix build: apply msgb_wrap_with_TL() renameMax1-7/+7
After libosmocore commit If1e851ac605c8d2fde3da565b0bd674ea6350c2e b27e6feb699712345373e87a48187dc622e4fa92 the openbsc master build is broken. Apply the msgb_wrap_with_TL() rename to msgb_push_tl() to unbreak the build. Also related is commit e8cd09dd6f3378a8137afb581dcd7ed554daa24c in this repository, which removed the locally defined msgb_wrap_with_TL() definition. The libosmocore mistake should have become obvious then and there... Change-Id: I6fece7bbbea84962daff885e54f0bc0108c8d0a5

2019-01-17Make alert notifications vty configurable per ESMEKeith4-2/+34
OSMO-MSC backport Adds (no) alert-notifications as a per-esme vty command, in order to allow some ESMEs to be excluded from alerts. The default is still to send alert notifications to all esme, so no changes are required to the config file to maintain identical operation after this patch. 2019-01-12Don't send SMS STATUS REPORT locally if the ESME accepted it.Keith1-1/+1
Backport of https://gerrit.osmocom.org/11792/ When using smpp-first, after the ESME accepts our STATUS REPORT, we were sending it locally into gsm340_rx_sms_submit() anyway. In the case of the ESME mirroring the report back to us, this would result in two copies of the status report in the SMS database, which were also both then delivered to the MS. Some MS then display the REPORT to the user as if it were a normal SMS. With this patch, we check if it is the sms_report that has had receiver set in sms_route_mt_sms() and not the original SMS we are reporting on, which of course already has receiver set. 2017-09-13fix vty tests: vty no longer goes to parent node implicitlyNeels Hofmeyr1-0/+1
Fix four instances of VTY tests working because it used to include implicit 'exit' commands to the parent node. This hit in testSubscriberCreateDelete. Add vty_install_default(NITB_NODE). *) in testPingPongConfiguration, the intention is to enter the /msc 0 node. Drop prior entry of the 'network' node, which looks like an oversight. So far the 'msc 0' caused an implicit 'exit' and thus worked, now fails. *) Two instances following comments "# Check searching for outer node's commands", which look like they are intended to check for this implicit-exit behavior. This is obsolete, drop those parts of the tests. Change-Id: I77931d6a09c42c443c6936000592f22a7fd06cab
2017-09-11libmsc: annotate esme route in the sms object from deliver_to_esme()Pablo Neira Ayuso2-3/+12
Annotate this esme route, so we can use it to return -EINPROGRESS to skip sending premature RP-ACK to the mobile station, in case we're handling sms routes through SMPP. Now that we have this information in place, we use it wherever possible to avoid kludgy checks on sms->receiver. sms_free() already releases references to this object, so we should be fine with this. 2017-08-18libmsc: Fix wrong handling of user_message_reference parameterPau Espin Pedrol1-2/+2
libsmpp34 already converts received TLV integer values to native endianess in libsmpp34_(un)pack. Converting them again at receive time swaps the 2 bytes of user_message_reference, then using a wrong value. As GSM03.40 spec uses only 1 byte for the id, then only the high byte of the initial value is used and eventually sent back to the ESME. Again, at that time, htons() is not needed because libsmpp34 already handles that part. See OS-#2429 for more details. Change-Id: If748548a4a223e529a1110c89e483b599b406e8b

2017-08-09libmsc: update database to accomodate SMS status-report fieldsPablo Neira Ayuso1-6/+162
SMPP DELIVER_SM messages with esm_class = Delivery Receipt need to send this message reference (that the mobile phone allocates) to the ESME. Thus, the ESME propagates it via SUBMIT_SM with esm_class = Delivery Acknoledgment so that the SMSC sends the GSM 03.40 status-report to the origin including this. Given this field is useful for status-reports, we need to store it in the HLR database. Moreover, we need a new field that specifies if the entry represents a SMS status-report, to do the right handling from the gsm411_send_sms() - such new handling comes in a follow up patch entitled "libmsc: handle delivery ack via SMPP SUBMIT SM / send GSM 03.40 status report". This patch includes the migration routines to the new database schema revision 5, it's quite a bit of dbi boilerplate code - copied-pasted and adapted. 2017-08-09libmsc: add support for SMPP delivery receiptsPablo Neira Ayuso3-1/+75
If the mobile phone requests a status report via SMS, send a DELIVER_SM with esm_class = Delivery Receipt to ESME to indicate that the SMS has been already delivered to its destination. MS GSM 03.40 SMSC SMPP 3.4 ESME | | | | SMS-DELIVER | | |<----------------------------| | | GSM 04.11 RP-ACK | | |---------------------------->| | | | DELIVER-SM | | | esm_class = Delivery Receipt | | |------------------------------->| | | DELIVER-SM-RESP | | |<-------------------------------| | | | This patch implements "Appendix B. Delivery Receipt Format" as specified in the SMPP 3.4 specs. This string is conveyed in the SMS message as data, and it is only meaningful to the ESME, for logging purposes. The "submit date" and "done date" are not yet set, and other fields are just sent with dummy values, so they are left to be finished as future work. The new SMPP TLV tag TLVID_user_message_reference is added to the SMPP messages inconditionally now since this information is required by delivery-reports to associate the status-report with the original SMS. 2017-08-08libmsc: remove dead code in sms_route_mt_sms()Pablo Neira Ayuso1-3/+0
The following branch: if (!rc && !gsms->receiver) rc = GSM411_RP_CAUSE_MO_NUM_UNASSIGNED; at the end of sms_route_mt_sms() always evaluates false. Just a bit before, in such function, we have this: if (!gsms->receiver) { ... #ifdef BUILD_SMPP ... #else ... #endif return rc; } So, if there is no receiver, we just stop running code and return the RP cause via the rc variable. Same applies to the smpp_first check under the BUILD_SMPP ifdef (that I have removed in this snippet to keep this commit message small). Change-Id: Ic3502b5b169bc7a73a67fd6ff53d8b6c0dc045c8

2017-07-11transaction: reject calls from unidentified subscribersBenoit Bolsee1-0/+7
A valid subscriber is indespensible when allocating a new transaction. Return NULL if no subscriber is supplied. This will cause unidentified subscribers to be rejected. Note: Under normal conditions, the problem does not occour, but it is still possible that a misbehaving MS might trigger the problem by sending a SETUP command before authenticating the subscriber.
