2003-12-23Have "tvb_ensure_length_remaining()" throw the appropriate exception ifGuy Harris1-4/+1
there's no data remaining - its callers largely depend on it doing so. That means that the BEEP dissector doesn't have to check for it returning 0. svn path=/trunk/; revision=9433
2003-07-25Remove some warnings from gcc.Gilbert Ramirez1-1/+3
svn path=/trunk/; revision=8085
2002-11-28Arguments to hash routines are gconstpointer's; assign them to constGuy Harris1-4/+4
pointers. The first argument to "sscanf()" is a "const char *"; don't cast const pointers to "char *" when passing them to "sscanf()". Assign the result of "tvb_get_ptr()" to const pointers, not non-const pointers. Make the "pdata" argument to various DCE routines a const pointer. svn path=/trunk/; revision=6688
2002-08-28Removed trailing whitespaces from .h and .c files using theJörg Mayer1-69/+69
winapi_cleanup tool written by Patrik Stridvall for the wine project. svn path=/trunk/; revision=6117
2002-08-02Replace the types from sys/types.h and netinet/in.h by their glib.hJörg Mayer1-9/+1
equivalents for the toplevel directory. The removal of winsock2.h will hopefully not cause any problems under MSVC++, as those files using struct timeval still include wtap.h, which still includes winsock2.h. svn path=/trunk/; revision=5932
2002-06-13From Peter Hawkins: fix the maximum length argument to "tvb_memcpy()".Guy Harris1-3/+5
svn path=/trunk/; revision=5664
2002-04-29Un-#if out "dissect_beep_status()", to serve as a reminder to either getGuy Harris1-3/+1
rid of it or use it. svn path=/trunk/; revision=5290
2002-04-29Removal (or, at least, #ifdeffing out) of unused variables andGuy Harris1-1/+3
functions, from David Frascone. svn path=/trunk/; revision=5288
2002-04-08From Joerg Mayer; get rid of unused arguments, and make some variablesGuy Harris1-17/+17
not used outside "packet-beep.c" static. svn path=/trunk/; revision=5120
2002-02-01Provide tvb_ensure_length_remaining(), which is likeGilbert Ramirez1-2/+2
tvb_length_remaining() except that it throws BoundsError if 'offset' is out-of-bounds. Allow a length argument of -1 for FT_STRING and FT_BYTES fields in proto_tree_add_item(). Change some dissectors to either use -1 for the length argument in calls to proto_tree_add_item(), or call tvb_ensure_length_remaining() instead of tvb_length_remaining(), or to check the return-value of tvb_length_remaining(). Changes to more dissectors are necessary, but will follow later. svn path=/trunk/; revision=4656
2002-01-24Replace a bunch of "tvb_length()" and "tvb_length_remaining()" calls inGuy Harris1-2/+2
arguments to "proto_tree_add_text()", and to "proto_tree_add_XXX()" calls that add FT_NONE or FT_PROTO items to the protocol tree, with -1. Replace some calls to "tvb_length()" or "tvb_length_remaining()" with calls to "tvb_reported_length()" and "tvb_reported_length_remaining()", as those give the actual length of the data in the packet, not just the data that happened to be captured. svn path=/trunk/; revision=4605
2002-01-21Include files from the "epan" directory and subdirectories thereof withGuy Harris1-4/+4
"epan/..." pathnames, so as to avoid collisions with header files in any of the directories in which we look (e.g., "proto.h", as some other package has its own "proto.h" file which it installs in the top-level include directory). Don't add "-I" flags to search "epan", as that's no longer necessary (and we want includes of "epan" headers to fail if the "epan/" is left out, so that we don't re-introduce includes lacking "epan/"). svn path=/trunk/; revision=4586
2001-12-10Move the pointer to the "column_info" structure in the "frame_data"Guy Harris1-5/+5
structure to the "packet_info" structure; only stuff that's permanently stored with each frame should be in the "frame_data" structure, and the "column_info" structure is not guaranteed to hold the column values for that frame at all times - it was only in the "frame_data" structure so that it could be passed to dissectors, and, as all dissectors are now passed a pointer to a "packet_info" structure, it could just as well be put in the "packet_info" structure. That saves memory, by shrinking the "frame_data" structure (there's one of those per frame), and also lets us clean up the code a bit. svn path=/trunk/; revision=4370
2001-12-08From Darren New: BXXP dissector modified to be a BEEP dissector.Guy Harris1-0/+1128
Handle "bxxp." preferences as "beep." preferences. svn path=/trunk/; revision=4357
