2016-03-20Create call_data_dissector() to call data dissector.Michael Mann1-3/+1
This saves many dissectors the need to find the data dissector and store a handle to it. There were also some that were finding it, but not using it. For others this was the only reason for their handoff function, so it could be eliminated. 2016-03-20Manually add protocol dependencies derived from find_dissector.Michael Mann1-1/+1
Started by grepping call_dissector_with_data, call_dissector_only and call_dissector and traced the handles passed into them to a find_dissector within the dissector. Then replaced find_dissector with find_dissector_add_dependency and added the protocol id from the dissector. "data" dissector was not considered to be a dependency. 2016-01-13Use result of register_dissectorPeter Wu1-5/+4
Assign result of `register_dissector(..., func, proto)` to FOO_handle and remove `FOO_handle = create_dissector_handle(func, proto)`. Found by looking for files named packet-FOO.c having the above create_dissector_handle pattern. Some files (with different dissect routines for the two functions) remain unchanged. 2015-12-09new_create_dissector_handle -> create_dissector_handle for dissector directory.Michael Mann1-1/+1
Some of the ASN.1 dissectors still generate a new_create_dissector_handle from the tool itself, so leave those for now. 2015-09-04xip-serval: add support for XIP Serval packetsCody Doucette1-17/+48
Serval is a service-centric architecture that has been ported to XIA to allow applications to communicate using service names. This change adds a dissector for XIP Serval, which sits between layers 3 and 4, and also amends the XIP dissector to be able to invoke it. 2015-07-10xip: add support for XIP packetsCody Doucette1-0/+686
The eXpressive Internet Protocol (XIP) is the network layer protocol for the eXpressive Internet Architecture (XIA), a future Internet architecture project. The addresses in XIP are directed acyclic graphs, so much of the code included in this addition verifies the correctness of the DAGs and displays them in human-readable form.
